Keep this physical. Ask the guide a question you already know is false (how many chairs are in the room) and let the child catch it. Celebrate the catch, not the tool.
Hard edges

- It is faster at sentences. We are the ones who can walk to the window. That is a kind of smart it does not have.

The child can name one way to check a talking tool (ask a grown-up, look in a book, try it with their hands).
The sure voice
Some tools talk as if they were in the room. They are not. They did not count the chairs. They did not look out the window. They guess from many sentences they have seen. A guess can be useful. A guess that sounds sure can still be wrong. When we use a talking tool, we check with a person, a book, or our own eyes.
Big idea
Sure is not the same as true. Checking is part of using the tool.

- If it is wrong, say 'caught you.' If it is right, ask a harder room question.
