Make Checking Domestic

A house that never says 'how do we know?' will believe the most finished paragraph in the room.

Parent briefing · 5 minutes, before they sit

This is culture, not a worksheet. Your mouth is the curriculum. If you mock their questions, they will stop bringing claims to you and will take them to a model that never sighs.

Hard edges

  • Do not use the check as a gotcha against the child.
  • Apply it to ads and your own rants first.

If they say

They'll think I don't trust them.
Trust is not the same as skipping the map. You can trust a person and still check a claim.

Objective

The adult installs one daily check question and uses it on themselves once in front of the child.

The household question

'How do we know?' is small enough for a Tuesday. It works on homework, headlines, and 'the model said.' If you only ask it when you already disagree, it becomes a weapon and they will hide. Ask it when you are curious. Ask it of yourself. WisdomForge can print the prompt. Only you can make it ordinary.

Big idea

The check becomes a habit when the adult uses it on their own mouth.

Lesson guide

Ask after you try

Optional. Model the check on a fluent paragraph you almost believed.

  1. You, not the child, ask 'how do we know?' of the guide.
  2. Did you use it on yourself?
  3. Is the wording actually spoken at home?

Ritual reminder

Adult profile is the workshop. Child profiles are separate. Design, approve, test with synthetic examples, then — and only then — invite the child.

Fresh profile only. Never clone an adult profile. No child names, photos, or school. Hint-first. User-started. The guide does not make AI safe. You may refuse it.
