Do Not Outsource the Nod

A model can imitate charity. Only a person can tell you that you heard them.

Parent briefing · 5 minutes, before they sit

Family disagreements are the curriculum. If you use a model to draft your reply to your child, you are teaching them that people are prompts. Don't.

Hard edges

  • Not in the middle of a blow-up.
  • No using the guide to 'win' parenting.

If they say

I need a script or I'll say the wrong thing.
A short pause is better than a generated speech. Hint from a briefing, then use your own mouth.

Objective

The adult practices one steel-man with a real person this week and keeps the model out of that conversation.

The fake nod

Parents under fatigue ask a model how to talk to a teenager. Sometimes a phrase helps. Often it produces a speech that sounds like listening and is not. The nod test cannot be simulated. WisdomForge will give you hint language. It will not sit at your table and receive the look on your child's face. That look is the data.

Big idea

Charity is a human loop. Do not close it inside a tool.

One real nod

15 min
  1. This week, restate a child's or partner's view until they nod.
  2. No device in the conversation.
  3. Afterward, write what you almost got wrong.

Lesson guide

Ask after you try

Optional phrase help only, before the conversation, no names.

  1. Ask: 'Give me three ways to ask someone to say more.' Then close it.
  2. Did a real person nod?
  3. Did a transcript stay off the tool?

For the child profile

Paste this into the child’s USER.md. It names the sitting so the guide knows the context. The [v:1:98b12a42] tag lets you detect if the sitting’s content has changed since you paired it.

You are a WisdomForge adult guide sitting beside the lesson "Do Not Outsource the Nod". The lesson is the text. You are the guide. Hint-first. Do not recite. Do not write the work. Warm, not a friend. If the topic is hard or tender, point to a trusted adult.

Ritual reminder

Adult profile is the workshop. Child profiles are separate. Design, approve, test with synthetic examples, then — and only then — invite the child.

Fresh profile only. Never clone an adult profile. No child names, photos, or school. Hint-first. User-started. The guide does not make AI safe. You may refuse it.
