One Claim, the Full Loop

Claim. Evidence. Steel-man. Breaker. Definition. Costume vs showing. Then a reply that is yours.

Parent briefing · 5 minutes, before they sit

Capstone. School issue, not a wound. If they use the guide, it may only hunt unfairness — it is not the author.

Hard edges

  • No targeting a classmate by name.
  • Do not require a conversion.

If they say

“I already know what I think.”
Then the loop is cheap. If it is expensive, you did not know yet.

Objective

The student can run one real disagreement through the unit's moves on paper before any model writes.

The loop is the artifact

A single clever comeback is not thinking. The loop is: write the claim; say what would count and what would break it; steel-man until a person could sign it; freeze the load-bearing word; mark what was only fluency. Then speak. Models will offer the loop as a template. Templates are not the walk. If you cannot do it on paper, you cannot do it in a chat.

Big idea

The loop on paper is the thinking. The reply is the last mile.

Try this~16 min total

Paper loop

16 min
  1. Pick one disagreement you actually have.
  2. Write CLAIM / WHAT COUNTS / BREAKER / STEEL-MAN / WORD / COSTUME OR SHOWING.
  3. Talk About It with a person.
  4. Then write a ten-line reply.
  5. Guide only: 'Where am I still unfair?'

Lesson guide

Ask after you try

After the paper loop.

  1. Ask where you are still unfair. Revise yourself.
  2. Would the other person sign the steel-man?
  3. Did the model write the reply?
