Education in the Age of AI · Sitting 6
Run a Sitting, Then Audit It
A sitting without an audit is just chatting. Leave a record of who did the thinking.
- 28 min
- Talk About It
- 11–14
Parent briefing · 5 minutes, before they sit
Point them at math, English, or science — the flagship lessons. The audit is TRY / HINT / CHECK / MINE. If HINT did the thinking, they redo.
Hard edges
- No live graded work as the demo if that tempts shipping.
- Keep the chat in the sitting, not screenshotted to friends as a flex.
If they say
- “The audit is extra work.”
- It is the whole point. The page was never the product. You are.
Objective
The student completes one sitting in another subject using the four steps and writes a four-line audit.
Audit is respect
You now have a method. Methods die when they are not inspected. After a sitting, four lines: what I tried, what I asked, what I checked, what is still mine. If you cannot fill MINE, the sitting failed even if the page looks finished. That is not moralism. It is how you remain the kind of person a later exam, job, or friend can actually rely on.
Big idea
If you cannot say what was yours, it was not a sitting. It was a shipment.

- Run try → hint → check → close.
- Write TRY / HINT / CHECK / MINE.
- Talk About It: which line was thinnest?
Lesson guide
Ask after you try
Use the lesson guide only after a visible try.
- One hint. Then close. Fill the audit without the guide's help.
- Is MINE specific?
- Did they close, or keep chatting?

Pair this sitting
Copies the sitting card and the USER.md one-liner. The child profile reads only this card. It does not browse the catalog.
For the child profile
Paste this into the child’s USER.md. It names the sitting so the guide knows the context. The [v:1:9fe37ca0] tag lets you detect if the sitting’s content has changed since you paired it.
