Zeno lived to about 72 — a long life for the ancient world. The story says he chose to end his own life, which is complicated. For little thinkers: he lived a long time, he taught many people, and his ideas lasted hundreds of years. Keep the focus on what he left behind, not on how he died.
Hard edges
- Don't dramatize self-death. If they ask, say plainly: 'He was old and chose to go. That was his choice. What matters is what he left behind.' Don't elaborate.
- Don't make the founder a saint. Zeno had a temper, made mistakes, and his school argued about his ideas for centuries. He was a person, not a monument.

When he was very old, the story says he chose to leave. But what he built stayed. His ideas — virtue is the only good, the world is one city, everyone has seeds of reason — outlived him by centuries. That's the lesson: what you build with your choices can last longer than you. A talking tool can tell you about Zeno. But the building is yours.
