Voice · Sitting 6

Mouth First, Then the Tool

The last sitting: hear a person, say it, use it, then maybe a second listen. The tool never takes the turn.

  • Ask a Grown-Up
  • 5–10

Parent briefing · 5 minutes, before they sit

Capstone of the Voice little arc. You are in the room. Five to ten: grown-up present.

Hard edges

  • Try This on mouths before any model.
  • If the tool speaks instead, that turn is a miss.

If they say

“The tool already knows how to say it.”
Then it can wait. We still say it.

Objective

The child completes hear → say → use with a person, tool last.

The whole little arc

You heard a person. You said it. You used a phrase. You asked. You did not let a speaker be you. Now we do the three-beat in one sitting: person, mouth, then maybe a tool. This is the language we needed: a house where mouths move.

Big idea

Hear. Say. Use. Then the tool. A person is still the judge.

Try this~18 min total

Full three-beat

18 min
  1. Grown-up says the week's phrase.
  2. Child says it twice.
  3. Child uses it for real (please, thank you, hello).
  4. Ask a Grown-Up: whose mouth?
  5. Only then a tool may be a second listen. Mute and say it again.

Lesson guide

Ask after you try

After use with a person.

A grown-up must be in the room for this band. The guide is a tool, not a friend. If it claims otherwise, that is a miss — close it.

  1. Second listen. Mute. Say it.
  2. Person first?
  3. Used?
  4. Tool not instead?
