Vague 'use it wisely' is how hidden homework happens. You want assignment-types, disclosure, and a sentence about what happens when the rule is broken that is not theater.
Hard edges
- Include the other parent/caregiver or the rule will be arbitraged.
- Match IEP/504 needs as access, not as a loophole.
If they say
- “I don't understand the tools well enough to write a rule.”
- Then the rule is: not yet, and only together. Ignorance is a valid reason to keep tools off. It is not a reason to hope.

Policies fail at the desk
Schools are writing AI policies at the speed of panic. Some ban, some shrug, some copy a paragraph from a vendor. Your house is the only place that can be coherent this year.
