The English Hour
The English hour at the table is the whole program: letter tiles or a sound box, a question worth waiting for, a page they look through, a sentence they write. A parent who is not a reading specialist can run that hour for five-to-ten — sounds linked to letters, blending, fluency after accuracy — if a picture guess is not allowed to pass as word reading.
